ABOUT
Who's the designer?
Ashley Robles-Rasgado
I’m a designer inspired by the world around me, driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a passion for creating meaningful design. My work focuses on knitwear and apparel design, where I explore innovative techniques, materials, and processes to develop pieces that connect with people and reflect contemporary culture.

Experience
Through hands-on experimentation and research, I enjoy transforming ideas into thoughtful design solutions. I work across a range of materials and methods, rapidly generating concepts and refining them through prototyping, testing, and thorough documentation. This iterative approach allows me to continuously push creative boundaries while maintaining strong attention to craftsmanship and detail. Beyond design, I bring leadership, collaboration, and communication into every project. I have experience presenting ideas clearly through public speaking, critiques, and collaborative discussions, helping teams move concepts forward while ensuring diverse perspectives are heard. I thrive in environments that value curiosity, creative risk-taking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
WORK
Fibershed Intern
In this role, I collaborated with Mango Materials to develop original knit swatches using regenerative wool yarn on a flatbed knitting machine. I translated material concepts into functional textile samples by experimenting with stitch structures, gauge, and yarn behavior, ensuring both aesthetic quality and material performance. This work supported research and development efforts focused on sustainable and innovative textile applications while demonstrating technical precision and creative problem-solving in knitwear design.
Lenscrafters
I provided personalized styling assistance to clients, helping them select eyewear that aligned with their visual needs, lifestyle, and personal style. I worked closely with a licensed Optometrist to support patient care by accurately filling eyewear prescriptions and ensuring seamless coordination between clinical and retail services. I managed appointment scheduling, operated the POS system, and handled transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Throughout the client experience, I focused on creating a welcoming, professional environment by delivering exceptional customer service and building strong, trust-based relationships with patients.
SF Fashion Week Designer
Overseeing styling coordination, model fittings, and garment organization. Managed an assistant, maintained inventory and tracking through Google Sheets, and ensured seamless preparation and styling adjustments for models throughout the production process.
Temporary Assistant
I produced large-scale custom curtain orders by accurately measuring, cutting, sewing, and pressing materials to meet precise specifications and quality standards. I followed established company guidelines throughout the production process and maintained consistent communication with team members and supervisors to ensure quality assurance and timely delivery. This work required strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to execute custom designs with accuracy and efficiency.
